About me

Since 2003, my family and I have proudly called Wilson our home. Growing up in this community, I attended Speight Middle School and Wilson Early College Academy before pursuing higher education at Meredith College. There, I earned degrees in Communication, Spanish, and a minor in Pre-law. We laid our roots in Wilson, faced challenges, and ultimately thrived.

Currently, I work as a litigation paralegal with the NC Justice Center, advocating for justice and fairness in our legal system. In 2022-2023, I served as a youth delegate representing the Mexican migrant community in the U.S. at the United Nations General Assembly, where I addressed children's rights and presented sustainable development goals in the Human Rights Committee. My passion for public service was further cultivated through the Wilson Leadership Institute in 2023. In my spare time, I dedicate myself to advocacy and community service, always striving to make a positive impact on those around me.

Education has been my tool to break barriers, serve as a role model, and advocate for others. My goal as a school board member is to ensure that all students in Wilson County have the support and resources they need to succeed, regardless of their background. I am committed to working tirelessly to provide equitable opportunities for every student in our community.

If elected, I would be the first Latina to hold office in Wilson County. My unique perspective and experiences will bring fresh ideas and a strong voice to the school board, ensuring that the needs of all students and families are heard and addressed.
